Exhibition organized by "Teixeira de Pascoaes Artistic Contest", of the awarded works, took place in Lisbon at the Gallery located in the main University Center of this City.

Teixeira de Pascoaes (was born in 8 November 1877 Amarante, Portugal and died in 14 December 1952 Gatão, Portugal)

"Portuguese Author of high magnitude, Teixeira de Pascoaes bequeathed us a philosophical and literary work that breaks with the geographical limits, dilating his vision and the strength of his spirit for Eternity, as the Author says: "After all what is Poetry? The desire of certain men not to die. Poetry, Art, Philosophy, Science - shipwrecked hands clinging to a board."

One of the mentors of the movement of the Portuguese Renaissance, in collaboration with Leonardo Coimbra, Jaime Cortesão, Afonso Duarte, Raul Proença, António Correia de Oliveira and assuming the direction of "Revista Águia", Teixeira de Pascoaes is inscribed in Portuguese thought either through a poetry of redemption for the highest, either by the force of a thought that senses the fall and aspires to a promised divinity. This event thus intends to contribute to the undeniable importance of its contribution in the modern arborescence of Portuguese poetry and in Portuguese philosophical thought. It is therefore an invitation to analyze exegetically what structures of the principles of Portuguese poetry and thought, so deeply incised by Fernando Pessoa, namely: "The first analytical observation that reasoning makes before our poetry today is that his spiritual sphere is composed of three elements-vague, subtle and complex. " This is how we will privilege in this celebration the renewing force of a heterodox and antithetical thought, providing a space for discussion and dissemination of the following areas: Philosophy, Literature, Pedagogy, Aesthetics, Metaphysics, Ontology, Art, Politics, Culture, among others." (as in Trienio Pascoalino 2017 [Consult. 201703-25 16:36]
